MUTATIONS

An evolving series of QR codes reimagined as instructions for virtual cityscapes. Mutations are editions by untitled, xyz. Each work is an ERC-1155 that can be mutated (burned) in exchange for the next Mutation. The token itself contains an immersive metaverse-ready 3D environment (.glb) that is designed to be replicated, combined, and remixed (CC0) into virtual neighborhoods, towers, cities and beyond.

QR CODE PATTERNS AS
CITY-SCALE INSTRUCTIONS

QR’s are made of modular 2D patterns - where voids, alignment, orientation, format and circulation relay information. Here, those patterns are extruded into the context of a city where their instructions become public squares, towers, monuments and corridors.

SEQUENCES

1-10 equals a Mutation Sequence. Claims (edition sales or airdrops) only occur every 10th Mutation, and begin a new Sequence of burn-to-claim. Example: the only way to receive a “Mutation [5]” is to burn your way sequentially from Mutation [2] - to - [3] - to - [4] - to - [5].
